Recycling Conference and Exhibition

On 19 March 2023, Communications Craftsmen (COMCRA Events) organized the Recycling Conference & Exhibition “Promoting Partnerships” for the USAID Recycling in Jordan Activity, held under the patronage of H.E. Muawieh Radaideh, Minister of Environment, at the Fairmont Hotel in Amman. The event welcomed 300 delegates and featured 30 exhibition booths, each representing a stage in the recycling process. Visitors experienced the full cycle on foot, from collection through to the production of recycled products, while exhibitors raised awareness about the importance of sustainability.

True to COMCRA’s 3P approach — People, Planet, and Profit, the event infrastructure was designed with sustainability at its core. Registration was conducted digitally, with barcodes printed on seed-infused recycled paper badges that could later be planted to grow into plants. Flooring materials were carefully managed: rubber flooring was preserved for reuse, while grass flooring was donated to public parks to benefit local communities. All wooden structures were designed for reuse, and any waste generated during the event was returned to exhibitors for recycling.

The Recycling Conference & Exhibition 2023 stood as a tangible example of how events can minimize their environmental footprint. It not only highlighted the potential of sustainable event management but also inspired COMCRA’s commitment to continuously advancing toward the goal of 100% green events in the near future.
