COMCRA events provided events management and planning services to the 2nd Recycling Conference and Exhibition 2024 "Promoting Partnerships"
For the second consecutive year, Communications Craftsmen (COMCRA Events) successfully organized the 2nd Recycling Conference & Exhibition 2024, themed “Promoting Partnerships,” for the USAID Recycling in Jordan Activity. This event took place on the 11th, 12th June 2024.
The exhibition layout was meticulously designed to reflect the entire recycling process in a sequential flow that visitors could follow on foot, starting from collection and continuing through to the production of recycled products. Along this path, awareness was raised through 63 exhibition booths, each representing different stages of the recycling process.
The core concept of the expo revolved around maximizing the use of recycled materials, with a strong emphasis on showcasing remanufactured items. This theme was evident throughout every aspect of the event, from the construction of the expo’s infrastructure to the branding within various areas of the venue.
Visitors entering the expo were greeted by a visually striking branded pyramid, symbolizing the six main recycling processes: collecting, sorting, shredding, washing, manufacturing, and recycling. This installation served both as an educational tool and an engaging introduction to the event’s overarching theme. Inside the recycling pyramid, a pentagon-shaped exhibit displayed recycled items alongside their remanufactured counterparts. For instance, one side featured egg cartons, while the opposite side showcased paper products made from recycled newspapers.
The registration counter was designed with simplicity and sustainability in mind, constructed from wood and LED screen. Its layout allowed for efficient processing, accommodating up to ten registrants at a time using an online registration system and QR code scanners, ensuring a smooth and accessible registration process for attendees.
As visitors moved into the exhibition area, the booths reiterated the expo’s commitment to eco-friendliness, being constructed primarily from wood and shipping cardboard. The raised floor, crafted from pallets and covered with recycled wood, added a natural aesthetic while emphasizing the event’s sustainable ethos. Each booth featured a display wall equipped with built-in shelves and screens, providing exhibitors with ample space to showcase their products and services. The expo logo was prominently featured alongside company branding, reinforcing the event’s identity and mission.
In line with the event’s sustainability goals, all materials used in constructing the expo infrastructure were donated to community-based organizations, schools, and companies investing in recycling. This initiative not only reduced waste but also promoted community engagement and environmental stewardship beyond the event itself.
Overall, the expo served as a tangible representation of the possibilities inherent in the circular economy, inspiring attendees and participants to embrace sustainability in their daily lives and business practices. The setup effectively highlighted the transformative power of recycling.
