Global land forum GLF 2022, Dead sea - jordan

For the first time in its history, the Global Land Forum (GLF) was hosted in the Middle East, organized by the International Land Coalition (ILC) under the patronage of His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Hussein. The landmark event took place at the King Hussein Bin Talal Convention Center, Dead Sea – Jordan, from 23–26 May 2022, positioning Jordan at the heart of international dialogue on land governance and rights.

The forum welcomed over 1,000 delegates, including nearly 700 international participants, making it one of the largest international conferences of the year in the region. Communications Craftsmen (COMCRA Events) successfully delivered full event planning and management services, ensuring seamless logistics, high-level protocol, and a state-of-the-art setup that showcased the objectives of the International Land Coalition.

The main program included a plenary hall and five breakout rooms, hosting workshops, panels, and roundtables, complemented by dynamic parallel activities such as the Ideas Fair, Tribute Space, ILC Planet Earth showcase, and a photo gallery. This diverse setup encouraged collaboration, knowledge exchange, and interactive learning among global stakeholders.

Staying true to our mission of sustainable event management, COMCRA implemented eco-friendly practices throughout the forum. These included replacing traditional printed rollups and backdrops with digital LED screens, and producing recycled notebooks and giveaways to minimize waste. Our sustainability-driven approach aligned with both ISO 20121 standards and COMCRA’s mission statement: “To provide creative event planning and management services that meet customers’ satisfaction and exceed expectations — on budget, on time, on brand, and environmentally friendly.”

The Global Land Forum 2022 stood as a milestone event in the Middle East, reinforcing Jordan’s role as a hub for international cooperation and sustainable development, while demonstrating COMCRA Events’ expertise in managing large-scale, high-profile, and eco-conscious conferences.
