2nd Recycling Conference and Exhibition 2024

Promoting Sustainability Within our Conferences and Exhibitions

Recycling Conference & Exhibition 2024

For the second consecutive year, Communications Craftsmen (COMCRA Events) successfully organized the 2nd Recycling Conference & Exhibition 2024, held on 11–12 June 2024 at the St. Regis Hotel in Amman under the patronage of the Minister of Environment and in collaboration with the USAID Recycling in Jordan Activity. The event was meticulously designed to take visitors on a step-by-step journey through the recycling process, starting from collection and ending with the production of recycled products. Along this path, 63 exhibition booths represented the different stages of the cycle, allowing participants to fully experience and understand the value chain of recycling.

At the entrance, visitors were welcomed by a striking branded pyramid symbolizing the six main recycling processes: collecting, sorting, shredding, washing, manufacturing, and recycling. Inside, a pentagon-shaped installation creatively showcased recycled items and their remanufactured counterparts — such as egg cartons displayed alongside paper products made from recycled newspapers — making the process both educational and visually engaging.

The infrastructure of the expo itself embodied the principles of sustainability. The registration counter, built from wood and LED screen, featured an online registration system with QR scanners to streamline check-ins, accommodating up to ten registrants at a time. Inside the exhibition, booths were constructed primarily from wood, cardboard, and recycled pallets, while raised floors and display walls combined natural aesthetics with practical functionality. Integrated shelves, digital screens, and prominent branding ensured exhibitors could effectively present their solutions.

In line with the event’s sustainability ethos, all materials used in constructing the expo infrastructure were donated after the event to community-based organizations, schools, and recycling companies. This extended the impact beyond the conference days, reinforcing a spirit of environmental stewardship and community engagement.

The event attracted 1,500 attendees and featured 63 exhibitors, providing a tangible demonstration of the circular economy in action. It successfully inspired participants to embrace sustainable practices in both business and daily life, showcasing how recycling can be transformed into an engine of innovation and opportunity.
